False prophecies

Been a good long while. Got a kick in the ol’ bum after reading one of travel logs from my musician friend Loes (the cover above is a new recording featuring her partner in crime Honza) – let’s see how it sticks this time around.

Writing this may well be a form of procrastination – I’m supposed to be preparing for an exam (Product Owner certification – might be useful for the ol’ dayjob). It’s kinda interesting tbh – with me always being caught up in “scrum-but” projects of one kind or another it’s high time I dug a bit deeper into the actual framework. It’s kinda amazing that it still persists, I can’t fight the feeling that it’s (still?) not really applicable to most projects, with everyone being so remote and development processes so messy. And that’s without “vibe coding” involved. Would be nice though.

It’s been almost two months since I got sober (again πŸ™„) – feels like I’m slowly becoming more productive. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t nearly as bad as last time but that’s a different story for a different day. The important things are there though – job gets done, I’m hanging out with people more, and actually got started on cleaning up the endless queue of music to check out – the number of albums may well be in 4 digits at this point.

So much to do still – projects to get started on, people to see, places to visit, instruments to practice, steps to learn πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š even making a todo list sounds overwhelming. But then, I’d never look at it and it would be an eyesore anyway so… guess we’ll improvise as always.

And these “after a couple years” blogposts always feel weird anyway… but it might be a start. Unless if it ain’t πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
